Mr. Favate is a graduate of St. Peter's College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and earned Dean's List recognition in each semester during his Junior and Senior years.  In 1985, Mr. Favate graduated from the University of Bridgeport School of Law, where he was the recipient of the 1983 American Jurisprudence Award for Academic Achievement in Torts.

Mr. Favate was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and the Bar of the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, in 1985.  He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Favate served as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Frank A. Piscatella, Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County.  Since his clerkship, Mr. Favate has engaged in many aspects of litigation, including the defense of employment claims, insurance coverage disputes, construction claims, product liability claims and professional liability claims.  Mr. Favate has expertise representing employers and management in employment discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, breach of employment contract and defamation claims at the administrative agency, trial and appellate levels and he has extensive experience handling all phases of complex multi-party litigation.
