Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

In the last year I have had multiple clients stopped on interstate 80 and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, cocaine, or methamphetamine. The cases that I won helped my immediate clients avoid felony convictions and prison time, but more importantly I was able to protect the 4th Amendment rights of American Citizens by holding the government and law enforcement officials accountable. I was honored to support and defend the U.S. Constitution as an Army officer. As a lawyer, I get to support and defend the constitutional rights of individual clients.

How did you build a successful practice?

My father built this practice in 1965. His local and national reputation as an outstanding trial lawyer and as a tireless advocate for veterans was the foundation for our practice.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

The best lawyers are intelligent, experienced, energetic and passionate about what they do.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

In Nebraska local knowledge can be extremely important in the outcome of a case.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

We inform clients of their rights and listen to their story and provide pertinent legal information.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

The nature of the allegation, the county where the alleged crime took place, when it took place and what has happened since.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

Our experience and our team mentality. We have multiple criminal defense attorneys and our criminal defense lawyers have over 85 years of combined experience. We often work with other lawyers in our firm to prepare for trial.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Saving my clients' lives.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Alpine skiing.

Are you involved in your community?

I am currently on 3 boards of directors and am a Lieutenant Colonel in the Nebraska National Guard.
