About Jonathan

Jonathan is a two time graduate of Ole Miss. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree as an undergraduate double majoring in political science and philosophy, and also earned his Juris Doctor degree in law from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Needless to say he is a die-hard Rebel fan. But Bulldogs don't worry - he is from a house divided (his younger brother went to State) and he has begrudgingly learned to enjoy Starkville, and even roots for State on occasion; so long as they are not playing his beloved Rebels.

In his free time Jonathan is an avid golfer, tennis player, and cyclist. On the weekends you can usually find him on the course, the court, or riding the Mississippi back roads.

Jonathan has a passion for helping people. Divorce and family law is notorious in the legal community as one of the toughest jobs in the legal profession, largely due to its contentious and emotional nature. This is why many attorneys do family law part time, or avoid it all together. However, for Jonathan, it is that very human connection that drew him to this field. He only practices divorce and family law. He is passionate about helping people through the most difficult times in their lives.

In addition to his law practice, Jonathan works as a divorce and family law mediator for Magnolia Mediation. Both as a family lawyer, and as a mediator, Jonathan believes in the mediation process and the benefits that it offers individuals involved in domestic relations cases. Jonathan is listed on the Mediator's Directory maintained by the Mississippi Bar.
