Jonathan A. Zahler | Managing Partner

             Jonathan A. Zahler was born in Miami, Florida where he grew up and graduated from Ransom Everglades High School in 1984.  After attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York for two years, Mr. Zahler returned to Miami to complete his undergraduate education earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with Cum Laude Honors in 1988.  During his undergraduate studies, he earned academic Dean's List Honors, competed at collegiate level in wrestling and baseball, and was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.

            Despite his family's strong tradition in the medical field including his father and uncle who were prominent physicians in the South Florida area, Mr. Zahler followed his siblings footsteps in the legal field and attended the University of Florida College of Law.  In 1992, Mr. Zahler graduated law school achieving his Juris Doctorate degree and proudly becoming the youngest of three siblings in his family to become an attorney.  Mr. Zahler's achievements in law school included Dean's lists, a book award for the outstanding student in one of his courses, member of the University of Florida Student Honor Court defense staff, and he was an Advanced Legal Research, Writing, as well as Appellate Advocacy Fellowship instructor.

            Following graduation from the University of Florida College of Law in 1992, Mr. Zahler relocated to Jacksonville, Florida which he proudly now calls home.  Prior to admission to the Florida Bar, Mr. Zahler very quickly realized his passion for family law during his clerkship with a prestigious family law firm in the community.  Hence, since 1994 when Mr. Zahler opened the doors to his own law practice, there was no question that he would concentrate his practice in the area of marital and family law.  Through steady growth of clientele, great results, and his widespread excellent reputation, Mr. Zahler's practice was an immediate success which enabled him, along with his successful business partners, to purchase and renovate of the firm's current office location where the firm has been located since 1998 in the historic San Marco area of Jacksonville.

            Mr. Zahler is a charter member of the Florida Family Law Inn of Court in which he currently holds membership at Master level.  Mr. Zahler also serves on the Florida Bar Family Law Sub-committees for support issues, equitable distribution, and rules and procedure.

            Mr. Zahler has handled family law cases at all levels from child support issues involving the Department of Revenue and uncontested dissolutions of marriage to representation of multiple high wealth and income clients, professional athlete cases, complex business and financial matters in the context of dissolution proceedings, military divorces, and complicated jurisdictional issues including international child jurisdictional disputes and even a case involving jurisdictional disputes with an Indian tribal court in the State of Oklahoma.

            Mr. Zahler is committed to providing aggressive yet professional and fair representation to his clientele with a global view toward the overall circumstances of the case and its outcome. Consistent with the firm philosophy, Mr. Zahler gives special consideration to the unique family dynamics and financial matters in family law cases and specific consideration to children issues and perspective in family law litigation.
