Since 1990, I have represented the insurance industry as national and regional counsel. My expertise is crisis management issues, including international and domestic food contamination and product recall issues. I am privileged to lead a national team of attorneys who specialize in crisis management matters. In connection with my work, I have authored several articles and lectured throughout North America, Europe, South America and Asia on crisis management and emerging issues.
I concentrate on international and domestic insurance coverage matters. I have extensive experience representing foreign and domestic insurance companies and underwriters in regard to issues involving policy drafting, complex insurance coverage and reinsurance. I have represented and counseled clients with respect to first party, third party and specialty coverage matters involving advertising liability, bad faith, business interruption, commercial general liability, construction defects, directors' and officers' liability, employment practices, environmental, excess and surplus lines, financial institutions, intellectual property disputes, medical devices, non-profit organizations, professional liability, products liability, property losses, punitive damages, reinsurance and toxic torts.
After working in New York City and the metro area for 14 years, I was asked to move to Colorado to lead the coverage department of another firm. Since moving west, I have handled matters in several states throughout the western region of the United States including Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
I have litigated matters in federal and state courts throughout the United States and represented clients in mediations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
I earned my bachelor of arts degree from Boston University and my law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. I am admitted to the bars of Colorado, New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia.
