About Joseph
Joseph A. Kromholz is one of the founding shareholders of Ryan Kromholz & Manion, S.C., located in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The firm, which traces its roots back to 1873, was formed in 1998 and practices in all areas of intellectual property law including patent, trademark, copyright, and unfair competition law and related litigation. In addition to being a registered patent attorney, Joe is in charge of the firm’s litigation department. Over the course of his career, he has, on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, actively litigated cases in jurisdictions across the United States, including, Wisconsin, Illinois, California, Florida, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. (before the International Trade Commission as well as reexamination proceedings in the United States Patent & Trademark Office).
Joe is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Wisconsin Association for Justice, the State Bar of Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Intellectual Property Law Association. Joe is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Seventh Circuits. Joe received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Carroll College and a law degree from Marquette University.
