About Joshua

Joshua R. Van Kampen joined the Law Offices of Julie H. Fosbinder in March, 2004 and became a partner in July, 2006 when the firm was renamed Fosbinder & Van Kampen, PLLC. His areas of practice include labor and employment law, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, labor relations, the Fair Labor Standards Act, wage and hour claims, and wrongful termination. Mr. Van Kampen received his B.A. degree from Purdue University and his J.D. degree magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law. Prior to joining Fosbinder & Van Kampen, PLLC, Mr. Van Kampen worked for five years in Chicago representing employers in labor and employment litigation. Mr. Van Kampen has since garnered widespread recognition as a leader in the field in North Carolina. In 2009, he was recognized by both North Carolina Super Lawyer Magazine and Business North Carolina Magazine as one of this state's top labor and employment lawyers under 40. From 2008-2009, Mr. Van Kampen also served as Chairman of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, Labor and Employment Law Section, and was recently also appointed as that Section's Ethics Chair.
