About Juan
JUAN A. PYFROM is a graduate of Florida A & M University. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Stetson University College of Law. Prior to law school, Juan served nine years as a Combat Engineer on active duty in the United States Army where he attained the rank of Captain and commanded an Engineer Company during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. During the first Gulf War, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Meritorious Service Medal.
After the first Gulf War, he taught high school for a year before attending law school at Stetson Univ. College of Law. While in law school, he interned at the South Florida Water Management District, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and a private law firm specializing in Civil Rights and Labor & Employment Law. After a short, while working in the private sector, Juan heard the call to service once again.
In 1999 he has commissioned an officer in the US Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As an Army JAG officer, he served in multiple overseas assignments and represented a broad range of clients, including individual soldiers. He deployed four additional times in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn. He also represented the U.S. Government in negotiations involving U.S. interests in Germany, Iraq, Kuwait, South Korea, and Japan.
He recently retired from active duty as a Colonel with more than 20 years of legal experience. He was trained as a mediator in the military and will bring that same kind of dedication to duty, discipline, focus, and commitment to meeting your needs.
