About Judith

I became a lawyer because I enjoy working with people and law has given me the opportunity to help my clients when they face some of life's most difficult moments. It has been my personal philosophy on practicing law that a good lawyer learns to understand her clients' needs. I attempt, therefore, to practice law guided by the following principals:

Integrity. A competent lawyer is first and foremost an honest one. I pride myself on the fact that my clients, the judges and other lawyers with whom I interact can trust my representations.

Legal competency. Law school does not teach a lawyer everything she needs to know about the law. Instead, it teaches her how to find the answers. With my experience in the Maryland Attorney General's Office working on complex litigation, along with having served as a judicial law clerk, I have had the opportunity to hone my skills in this area and also experience many different areas of the law.

Responsiveness. Being involved in litigation or charged with a crime can be a very anxious time for a client. My personal philosophy on lawyering means that clients come first - inquiries are promptly addressed, phone calls are returned, and communication lines are kept open.

Flexibility. Not every client can take off from work to meet with his or her lawyer. I make myself available to my client when it is convenient to him or her, including evenings and weekends, if necessary. And, yes, I even make the occasional house call!

Respect. Clients facing legal difficulties often must confide the most intimate details of their life to their lawyer. I understand that this can be a traumatic experience, and respect both the client and the confidentiality of the disclosure.

My areas of practice include: criminal (including serious felony cases), traffic, contract law, property law, personal injury, and family law.
