This is why the attorneys in our office are skilled in both out of court settlements (collaborative law and mediation) as well as courtroom advocacy (litigation and appeals). The attorneys at the Law Offices of Karen S. Law have a strong litigation background and have successfully advocated for clients at all New Jersey court levels and in federal court. When required, we provide vigorous representation. At the same time, we recognize that litigation can be expensive, stressful, and put unnecessary strain on families. Many people may be able to resolve divorce and divorce-related issues respectfully and amicably outside of court, saving financial and emotional resources. Our attorneys will advise whether your case is a good candidate for resolution through a mediation or collaborative law approach.
Mediation and collaborative law are often faster and less expensive alternatives to litigation. A hallmark of both is focus on goals. How do you see yourself and your family after the divorce? How can we put together a settlement focused on your future?
Another critical element of mediation and collaborative law is emphasis on respectful communications for all involved — clients and attorneys. Divorce is stressful enough.
