About Karen
Karen F. Rothschild is an associate attorney with Temmerman, Cilley & Kohlmann, LLP, in San Jose, California. Karen's practice focuses on trust and estate litigation. While Karen entered law school with the intention of practicing civil litigation, she gained experience in estate litigation while externing in the Probate Court in Sacramento County the summer after her 2L year. While in law school, Karen competed on Loyola Law School's nationally ranked Byrne Trial Advocacy team, even winning the annual Byrne Exhibition Trial in the spring of her 3L year.
Karen earned her J.D. with a concentration in Civil Litigation from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California in 2022. While in law school, Karen worked for a family lawyer in Los Angeles, as well as externed in both a Family Law Courtroom and Probate Courtroom in Sacramento County. Prior to joining the firm, the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) selected Karen to serve as a fellow for its annual program upon her completion of law school. During this fellowship, Karen had an enlightening and enriching experience working with both a plaintiffs' firm and defense firm, as well as spending time in the Los Angeles Superior County Court.
Outside of the office, Karen enjoys long games of pickleball and spending time with her two cats.
