Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I was successful in overturning a sexual assault conviction in which my client was not given a fair trial wherein the trial judge excluded crucial exculpatory evidence. Ultimately, when the case was remanded back for a new trial-evidentiary hearing the charges were dismissed. In addition, just 3 weeks ago I was successful in having charges dismissed wherein my client was facing mandatory jail time. The District Attorney violated the Court's order by not providing discovery and thereby withholding key evidence, such as police reports, lab testing, witnesses statements etc.

How did you build a successful practice?

Most of my clients come from word of mouth, which I attribute to (I believe) how hard I work to get the best possible resolution regarding clients' cases. In addition, I treat each case as if a close family member is/was being prosecuted. I do not take any case lightly. I work hard to get the right result. Our firm has been in existence since 1981.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Clients should look for someone who has vast trial experience. This experience teaches an attorney the tools in which one needs to resolve legal matters. Check and see how much trial experience a particular lawyer and/or law firm has.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Practicing locally helps in some situations. For instance, since most of my cases arise out of Bucks County, I am very familiar with the local rules and practices.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

I can usually provide a general overview of the legal process during a phone consultation including what a person should expect throughout.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect of being a lawyer is helping people in the time of need. Typically, when someone calls for our representation they have usually never gone through a similar situation. Some people compare it to traveling through unchartered water. We are here not only to explain the situation but also to help one through with the best possible outcome. That comes through many forms such as skilled mediation and negotiation skills to our unparalleled trial skills.

Are you involved in your community?

I am very involved in my community. I have been a volunteer firefighter with the Fairless Hills Fire Department since 1992, having held the positions of Trustee, Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief and Deputy Chief. As of January 2014 I became the Chief of the Fire Department wherein I am responsible for all fire fighting related matters including 35 active firefighters. I have received numerous awards throughout my 22 years of service.
