I represented a couple who had been caring for two young children for over five years. The mother and father had abandoned the children. The mother suddenly appeared and demanded custody of the children. When my clients refused, she called the police. Recognizing the situation, the police refused to force my client to turn over the children. We filed an emergency petition for custody and my clients were awarded temporary custody. Ultimately, my clients were awarded legal and physical custody of the children.

I started my practice in 1995 with a semi-full bankers box of files from a small law firm at which I worked. From the beginning, I have had a commitment to a client centered approach to the practice of law. • Mason v. Herb - Circuit Court of Maryland for Wicomico County (11/4/11): Dispute between parties regarding the boundary of their respective lots. Masons (my clients) acquired the property in an auction. The property was suveyed in anticipation of the auction. Herb claimed that the survey erroneous showed a portion of her property as being that of the Masons. Herb alleged that she had acquired the property through adverse possession. Herb had installed a fence and bushes along the line that she alleged was the correct lot line. Masons filed suit to have the fence and bushes removed. Herb countersued alleging that the court should award her title to the disputed parcel. After a two day trial, the court ruled in favor of the Masons (my clients) on all claims.
