TN State Lawyer Additional Information: Biography: Ken received the B. A. and J. D. degrees from Southern Methodist University, and the Master of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt University. He is a member of the Tennessee, Texas, Supreme Court, and Nashville Bars. His law practice included service as Vice President and General Counsel for two companies, and the private practice of law Of Counsel to Neal and Harwell. He has been a mediator for 16 years, and is an arbitrator. He has over 500 hours of mediation and arbitration training, including service as a trainer and lecturer, particularly in the ethics of mediation. He is listed as a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 civil and family mediator, and is certified for domestic violence cases. He mediates and arbitrates employment law, public contract law, health care industry, and other cases for the American Arbitration Association, and financial industry cases for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. He also mediates disputes in church and faith community settings, and family cases in Circuit and Juvenile courts. He is a certified Nashville Conflict Resolution Center mediator and has served on its Board of Directors, is a member of the U. S. Federal District Court mediation panel, and is a Better Business Bureau arbitrator. Ken has served as the Co-Chair of the Mediation Task Force and Board member of the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services, Past Chair of the ADR and Ethics and Professionalism Committees of the Nashville Bar, and is a member of the Tennessee Bar’s ADR Section’s Executive Council. His honors include the President’s Award of the Nashville Bar Association in 1994 and 2001. He is Past President of the National Contract Management Association, and the Tennessee Chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Association.
