About Kevin
Kevin represents local, regional and national businesses, real estate ventures and financial institutions in real estate, corporate and other transactional matters. He represents both lenders and borrowers in asset-based lending and real estate financing, including loan transactions (conventional and SBA financing), workouts and restructurings. He assists clients in entity formation, corporate governance and general corporate matters; negotiating and documenting the purchase and sale of businesses; general counsel for corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies; and drafting and reviewing employment agreements, stockholders and partnership agreements, non-competition agreements and general commercial contracts.
His real estate practice focuses primarily on the negotiation and drafting of purchase, sale and development agreements for all types of real estate. Projects include the acquisition, development and construction of residential subdivisions, multi-family projects, hotel properties, mixed-use projects, golf course communities, apartment projects, office buildings, condominium projects, retail centers, shopping centers and warehouse facilities. Additionally he handles any issues arising from the ownership, management and leasing of real property. Industries served include agriculture, aggregate mining, auto dealerships, construction, hospitality, industrial, retail and restaurants. He has assisted clients in their dealing with local, state and federal governmental agencies and quasi-governmental agencies related to real estate and facility acquisitions.
In addition to his commercial real estate and lending practice, Kevin is involved in expanding the firm’s energy practice, as it relates to natural gas production in Maryland and surrounding states.
Prior to joining McNamee Hosea, Kevin served as Associate General Counsel for K. Hovnanian Homes Southeast Division. While he was primarily handling the acquisition of real property for the construction of single-family, town home, active adult and condominium residential dwelling units; Kevin also was involved in the approval, entitlement and development of land, coordination of the defense and initiation of litigation for the Company, preparation of security instruments and closing documents for land acquisitions, including financing arrangements with institutional lenders and banks and other general corporate matters.
