About Laura
Prior to joining Alan Lescht and Associates, P.C., Laura practiced here in Washington, DC, at a large plaintiff’s law firm, where she represented clients in complex class action employment litigation involving a variety of industries and topics in federal courts across the country. Laura also served as a law clerk for the Honorable John D. Couriel of the Florida Supreme Court.
Laura graduated from Harvard Law School, where she served as an executive editor on the Harvard Journal of Law & Gender and president of Lambda, the school’s LGBTQ affinity group. During law school, Laura’s studies concentrated on civil rights and client-focused advocacy. She worked at the Domestic Violence and Family Law Clinic, representing clients in matters of divorce, custody and visitation, abuse prevention, and child support. She also interned at the ACLU of Florida and the Planned Parenthood Foundation of America.
Prior to law school, Laura worked as a digital marketing consultant advising non-profit arts organizations. She used her theater and marketing background to create a shared sense of understanding and empathy that was invaluable in achieving positive outcomes for her clients.
Laura graduated with honors from the Florida State University, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Communications. While completing her undergraduate studies, Laura won the American Mock Trial Association (“AMTA”) National Championship Tournament and received an All-American award, AMTA’s highest individual honor.
