About LeAnn

Ms. Kay's practice primarily focuses on appellate matters, commercial litigation, commercial motor carrier liability, excess coverage, insurance litigation, personal injury defense, and products liability.  She received her undergraduate degree from Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, Louisiana, and her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, during which time she was Executive Editor of the Houston Business & Tax Law Journal.  From 2004 through 2005, she served as a briefing attorney to Justice Jane Bland, First Court of Appeals, Texas.  Ms. Kay has authored and presented a number of programs to the annual Continuing Education Seminar for Insurance Agents and Adjusters, and the Texas Association of Defense Counsel seminars.  Admitted to practice in both Louisiana and Texas, Ms. Kay joined the firm in 2009.  She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.  She is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and the Houston Bar Association.
