About Lee
Lee Warkentine began his legal career with the Boulder law firm of Williams, Trine & Greenstein. At Williams, Trine & Greenstein, Mr. Warkentine honed his adroit legal skills working closely with the firm's esteemed partner, Charles E. Williams. Together, Mr. Warkentine and Mr. Williams successfully litigated the landmark case of In re the Marriage of Graham, 574 P.2d 75 (Colo. S. Ct. 1978), which established the legal principle that the contribution of one spouse in providing financial support while the other spouse acquires an education is a relevant factor to be considered by a trial court in determining the issues of property division and maintenance. During the appellate process, Mr. Warkentine argued the case before the Colorado Supreme Court.
Today, in keeping with the honored tradition of excellence which Mr. Warkentine fostered during the early years of his career, Mr. Warkentine continues to zealously advocate for the expansion of the legal rights of all parties to family law actions. Mr. Warkentine is ably assisted in this endeavor by an experienced and knowledgeable legal staff. As a result of the highly qualified team which Mr. Warkentine has brought together, client expenses remain much lower than many other firms in the area. Further, the assistance of this team permits Mr. Warkentine to devote greater attention to clients and the substantive legal issues of their cases.
For clients who may be intersted in an affordable and efficient alternative to the traditional, judicial process, Lee Warkentine also offers mediation services. Mr. Warkentine is well versed in the art of alternative dispute resolution and welcomes the opportunity to assist clients in creating and implementing joint resolutions of family law disputes. As a neutral and impartial mediator, Mr. Warkentine provides a plain-language explanation of Colorado law and the legal ramifications of varying resolutions while encouraging constructive discussions between the parties. If you are looking for a comfortable, non-adversarial forum in which to address family law issues and explore your own solutions to those issues, the mediation services available at Lee D. Warkentine, P.C. may be the answer.
