Please describe a case(s) in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
----A DUI trial where the client was an attorney. She was accused of running into a traffic signal box at a busy intersection. Her car was nearly totaled. The police arrived and investigated her for DUI. The officer failed to follow proper video taping procedures and never put her on camera. We brought in the police agency’s operational orders and proved the officer acted in violation of his policy. The Jury found her not guilty.

How did you build a successful practice?
After spending 6 years with a private law firm, I learned the ins and outs of successful private practice management. You have to not only understand how to market your firm, but you have to practice “successful” law, not just “law”. Clients want results.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?
A lawyer who specializes in their area of particular need. If you want a DUI lawyer, don’t hire someone who practices many different areas. You wouldn’t want to hire an orthopedic surgeon to fix a brain tumor would you?

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
You must hire a local lawyer. Having local knowledge of the area’s prosecutors and judges is a must. Never hire someone from Miami, if your case is being handled in Clay county for example.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
How our firm operates, our approach to a successful defense, and our fee structure. We can also begin the process of discussing the client’s case and the particular issues that might be involved.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
The client’s background and their unique qualities. We want to know who our clients are. We can obtain the rest of the case pertinent information on our end.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Specialized knowledge in DUI and Criminal Defense. That’s what we do. All day long.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Getting a great result for a deserving client. We want to win nearly as much as the client.

What are your other interests in addition to law?
I like to golf, although I struggle with it. I am much better at Tennis and surfing, but I’m a glutton for punishment. Hence, I play more golf.

Are you involved in your community?
Yes. I serve on the Legal Aid Pro Bono Panel. I assist low income and indigent persons with their legal needs. I am also a member of the local Rotary club. Service above self is our motto.
