About Lisa
Ms. Milot is Of Counsel with Ivins, Phillips & Barker's Estate Planning Group and has been with the firm since 2003. Prior to joining the firm, her practice focused on general corporate law (including venture capital financings, corporate formation and maintenance, and securities law compliance) and licensing for technology companies.
Ms. Milot received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was an Articles Editor for the Virginia Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She earned her M.A. in Social Anthropology from New York University in 1998 and her B.A. from New College of Florida in 1992. Ms. Milot is the author of the Note, Restitching the American Marital Quilt: Untangling Marriage from the Nuclear Family, 87 Va. L. Rev. 701 (2001).
