About Lorenz
Lorenz Michel Pruss focuses his practice on all areas of commercial litigation, plaintiff-side class-action, and securities arbitration and litigation. He is licensed to practice in Florida and Washington, D.C. and also is specifically admitted to practice before the Eleventh Circuit of Appeals and the Southern District of Florida.
Before joining DKR as an Associate in 2003, his past work included advocacy in state and immigration courts for the law firm of Saleh & Associates, P.A., where he also performed substantive research and drafted memoranda on topics such as immigration, criminal, and family law. He also prepared opinions, briefs on appeal, and motions contesting removal proceedings and clarifying visa matters.
Prior to actively practicing law, Mr. Pruss clerked at the State Department's Bureau of Cultural Affairs for Africa in Washington, D.C. analyzing public diplomacy programs on topics such as the evaluation the effectiveness of U.S. cultural penetration regarding Sub-Saharan Africa. Mr. Pruss also clerked at the United States Attorney's Office's Economic Crimes Unit, in Miami, Florida, where he conducted substantive research and writing on topics such as money laundering and embezzlement, and supported the unit in preparation for trial and sentencing proceedings.
Mr. Pruss is a member of the Peruvian American Cultural Organization, the Peruvian-American Chamber of Commerce, and the Peruvian-American Club of Florida. In March 2004, he was featured in Peruvian magazine, Peru Hoy.
