About Lori
Lori J. Zellers was born and raised in West Michigan. She attended and graduated from Unity Christian High School in 1976. She then attended Mercy Central School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse in 1979. She began practicing as a Registered Nurse and spent the majority of her nursing career as a Critical Care Nurse at local West Michigan Hospitals. She practiced as a Registered Nurse from 1979- 2004. In 1986 she graduated magna cum laude from Grand Valley State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. She then began taking courses for a Master's degree in Nursing through Andrew's University. She then attended Thomas Cooley Law School from 1995-1998. She received an academic scholarship to attend Cooley and maintained that scholarship throughout her enrollment at Cooley Law School. During her attendance at Cooley she received the Raymond Burr Award, the Voelker Award, and an Award for Outstanding Service as an Assistant Editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. She began a solo-practice in 1998. She worked for Garlington and Associates from 2001-2004. She began working with Dykema Law Offices in 2004.
Ms. Zellers has enjoyed practicing many areas of law since 1998. Ms. Zellers practices family law, social security disability, review of medical records, and assists attorney Jon Schrotenboer in litigation of medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
Ms. Zellers was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in November, 1998. She was admitted to practice before all Michigan District and Circuit Courts, and the United States District Court of Michigan at that time. Education: Mercy Central School of Nursing (Registered Nurse 1978); Grand Valley State University (B.S. Magna Cum Laude 1986); Thomas M. Cooley Law School (J.D. Cum Laude 1998).
