About Lorna

Assistant:  Michelle Pauley

Lorna is a native of the Pacific Northwest, born and raised in Bellingham, earning her college degrees at the University of Washington in Seattle, and finally settling both personally and professionally in Everett, where she joined Bell & Ingram, becoming a shareholder in 1987.  A brief period of residence outside the Northwest gave her lasting appreciation for the natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and great people in this part of the country.

Lorna received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, magna cum laude with distinction in English, Phi Beta Kappa.  She returned to the University to earn her law degree in 1974.

Lorna's practice, though diverse, has come to focus on the unique and highly personal challenges encountered by individuals facing family law issues, primarily divorce and separation.  She brings to her clients, both men and women, a wealth of problem solving experience acquired over more than 25 years.  Lorna finds particular satisfaction in finding creative and workable solutions that set her clients on a positive path for the future.

While providing diligent and effective courtroom advocacy for many years, Lorna is also strongly committed to exploring with her clients the benefits of alternate means of dispute resolution, particularly mediation.  More recently, Lorna is trained and is now certified in the growing field of Collaborative Divorce, a respectful and non-adversarial approach which further expands the settlement options she can offer her clients.

Outside the practice of law, Lorna likes golfing, skiing and boating, (along with the people and places experienced while enjoying these activities), gardening and other projects around her old house, and keeping up with the antics of husband Tom, three adult children, and their offspring.  She's also an avid Mariners fan!
