Lawyer.com Member Questionnaire

Please describe a case(s) in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
Under juvenile law, I helped a father reunite with his three children and another father with his two young children.

How did you build a successful practice?
Hard work, hustle, competent legal work, good customer service, affordable prices.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Competent legal work, affordable prices, good customer service.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Very important. One needs to know how each court operates. I work mostly in 4 counties with 4 different court procedures.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
Legal advice.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
The facts and any documents related to the problem.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I have significant experience in usual and unusual fields of practice. My career path is different from most lawyers. I spent 11 years as a legal aid attorney and then went private. Normally an attorney spends two to three years with the State Attorney's Office, the Public Defender's or Legal Aid and then goes private or an attorney spends the same time with a private firm and then goes out on his own.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Probably helping people.

What are your other interests in addition to law?
Reading, shooting range, movies, communicate by e-mail with friends and family, politics.

Are you involved in your community?
I am not a regular member of any community organization but if there are matters that I care about such as the Pulse shooting or the destruction of a local park I will become involved.
