About Marcia

Marcia Clark, a prosecutor, received her JD from Southwestern University School of Law. She rose to fame as the lead prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson murder case.

In 1979, Clark was admitted to the State Bar of California. She became a prosecutor in 1981, and before that worked as a public defender in Los Angeles. Clark also worked as deputy district attorney for Los Angeles County, California.

Prior to the O.J. Simpson case, Clark’s most high-profile case was the prosecution of Robert John Bardo for murdering Rebecca Shaeffer in 1991. Four years later, she served as the lead prosecutor in a trial seeking to convict O.J. Simpson of murdering Nicole B. Simpson and Ron Goldman. Clark retired from trial law following the O.J. Simpson case. Since then, she has published a series of crime novels, written crime articles, and made appearances on television. Her critically acclaimed novels include the Rachel Knight collection with “Guilt by Association,” “Guilt by Degrees,” “Killer Ambition,” and “The Competition.” Clark co-authored “Without a Doubt,” a non-fiction book on the Simpson case, with Teresa Carpenter.

On television, Clark starred as a guest attorney on the television show “Power of Attorney,” and she was featured on Headline News as an analyst in the Casey Anthony trial. She was featured as Attorney Sidney Barnes in “Pretty Little Liars” and has appeared in the series “O.J. Made in America.”
