About Maria
Maria Cahill grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She worked in healthcare administration and moved to Manhattan in 1993 where she ran the women's center at a cancer prevention clinic. She then returned to Connecticut to attend Quinnipiac University School of Law where she obtained her law degree in 2000. While at Quinnipiac, Ms. Cahill was the recipient of the Dean's award, given to a law student who demonstrates outstanding leadership abilities; the Arnold J. Bai award, given to one graduating student chosen by the law school faculty, who they believe demonstrates the most potential to be an outstanding litigator; and was the winner of the intramural moot court competition in which she was named best oral advocate. As an attorney, Ms. Cahill has engaged in a diverse practice, including personal injury, criminal defense and appellate work. She has argued a number of appeals before the Connecticut Appellate Court. In addition to being admitted to practice before the State Courts in Connecticut, Ms. Cahill is also admitted to practice before the State Courts in New York.
