Boon is President of Boon, Shaver, Echols, Coleman & Goolsby P.L.L.C. and the firm's estate planning and probate specialist, and assists clients in the areas of estate planning, probate, corporate law, and taxation. Mr. Boon has practiced law in Texas for over three decades, and is board certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. In recognition of his superior legal services, Mr. Boon is the recipient of Martindale-Hubbell's "AV" preeminent peer rating.
Mr. Boon is active in both legal and community organizations in Longview. He is a member of the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law and Taxation Sections of the State Bar of Texas, a community advisor to the Junior League of Longview, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Good Shepard Medical Center. Mr. Boon was born in Tyler, Texas and currently resides in Longview with his wife, Janet, and their two children.
