About Marlo
The law must be stable, but it must not stand still. Roscoe Pound
Marlo was born and raised in Lumberton, North Carolina. She was a 1998 summa cum laude graduate of Lumberton Senior High School.
After high school, Marlo attended Campbell University where she would remain a Fighting Camel for the next seven years while she obtained her undergraduate and law degrees.
Marlo is an active member of West Lumberton Baptist Church where she is the President of the Beacons for Christ Sunday School Class. She enjoys playing softball, reading, and traveling.
Marlo's journey into the legal profession started during her junior year of high school when she began working in a local law firm as a runner/administrative assistant. She continued to work with that firm during her college years until she joined the staff of Greg Jones & Associates in 2001 as a case coordinator. Her experiences at these two firms were excellent opportunities that fueled her desire to become an attorney.
Marlo also had the privilege of seeing another branch of government at work while working with Congressman Mike McIntyre as an intern during the Summer of 2000.
