Martin Brillantine, Attorney

Martin Brillantine is a native Northern Virginian. Born at Fairfax Hospital,Mr. Brillantine attended all local area schools, including Fairfax VillaElementary, Sidney Lanier Intermediate, and Fairfax High School. In 1992, Mr.Brillantine graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Sciencedegree in Public Administration. An avid soccer player, Mr. Brillantine servedon the nationally ranked George Mason Men's Soccer Team during his four years ofcollege.

Mr. Brillantine's interest in law began in 1986 when he worked for Lawrence& Smith as a legal assistant while still in high school. As he became moreinvolved with the daily operations of the firm, Mr. Brillantine set sights onattending law school after completing his undergraduate studies.

In 1996, Mr. Brillantine received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the DavidA. Clarke School of Law in Washington, D.C. While in law school, Mr. Brillantineparticipated in numerous free legal clinics, assisting claimants with a varietyof needs.

Upon graduation, Mr. Brillantine returned to his full-time employment atLawrence, Smith & Gardner. In 1999, Mr. Brillantine was admitted to practicelaw in Washington, D.C. He currently works at Lawrence, Smith & Gardner asan Associate Counsel. His main area of practice is Social Security Disabilityand Supplemental Security Income claims; additionally, Mr. Brillantine assistsMr. Smith in the development of his cases set for trial. Mr. Brillantine is asustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants'Representatives (NOSSCR).

Mr. Brillantine still enjoys playing soccer and lends his time to coachingduring both the fall and spring seasons at The Potomac School in McLean,Virginia and Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Virginia.
