Matthew M. Rundio is a partner at Cavanagh Law Group in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Rundio focuses his practice in plaintiff personal injury law prosecuting personal injury and wrongful death claims. He represents victims of medical, automobile, trucking, railroad, construction and nursing home negligence. Prior to joining Cavanagh Law Group, Mr. Rundio was an associate attorney at a leading insurance defense firm in Chicago, Illinois. There, he defended claims for compensatory and punitive damages based on liability claims for construction injuries, exposure to toxic fumes, nursing home negligence, and auto and trucking collisions. Mr. Rundio was a member of the trial team that defended a construction contractor in the collapse of a stadium retractable roof resulting in multiple deaths.
Mr. Rundio attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1997. He then attended Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and earned a Juris Doctor degree in 2000.
Mr. Rundio is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Chicago Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association. Mr. Rundio has also volunteered as a mentor in the Loyola University of Chicago Law School First Year Law Student Mentoring Program since 2007.
