Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I handled a grand theft case where the victim never thought she would never see her money again. We went to trial, won, and the victim is now receiving restitution.

How did you build a successful practice?

Hard work and personal relationships.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

They should look to see if your attorney does trials. At Tympanick Law, P.A., we live for trial it is why I first became an attorney in the first place. A strong trial attorney is a necessity especially if your case needs to be tried. You need someone who has been there many times before and been successful many times before.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

It is exceptionally important. A local attorney knows which arguments are persuasive for judges and prosecutors to achieve the most desirable disposition.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

A description of the charges the Defendant is facing, the expected offer from the prosecution, and how best to proceed.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

Contact number, address, and description of client's version of events

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I have been a felony prosecutor, civil litigation attorney, and now a criminal defense attorney. There are very few criminal defense attorneys in the area who tried felony criminal case.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Getting a highly deserved disposition for my clients.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Golf, watching sports, spending time with family, traveling, and reading.

Are you involved in your community?

Yes. I am part of the Sarasota County Bar Association, Sarasota chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Young Professionals Group with the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, Florida Bar Business Law Section, and the Florida Bar Criminal Law Section.
