Leslie Cimadevilla, Esquire is the Principal and Managing Attorney of The Law Office of Leslie Cimadevilla, P.A. and Worldwide Title, Escrow and Closing Services, LLC. When Ms. Cimadevilla returned to her native South Florida after graduation, she was a founding member of the premiere Coral Gables Title, LLC until the real estate market crash. Therefore, Ms. Cimadevilla entered the world of foreclosure and has zealously represented investors, servicers, national mortgage lenders, financial institutions and private lenders throughout Florida handling residential and commercial foreclosures since 2007. She has litigated and mediated thousands of foreclosure cases, said experience now assists her in aggressively defending foreclosed homeowners and business owners in court in addition to exploring all loss mitigation alternatives. Additionally, she handles all aspects of residential and commercial real estate, including closings, title examinations, escrow services, transactional negotiations, foreclosure and loss mitigation, including short sale negotiations, loan workouts and deeds-in-lieu, contract disputes, preparation of agreements including loan documents and leases. She also handles foreign investors, works with 1031 agents and handles simultaneous transactions and complex structures Ms. Cimadevilla is a licensed member of the Florida Bar and was admitted to practice in 2003. She underwrites title through WFG and is a member of Broward’s Real Estate Council, Broward County Bar Association, and Plantation Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Cimadevilla also devotes much of her time to several charitable organizations including Broward County Partnership Coalition for the Homeless, Broward County's Women in Distress and Florida's Initiative for Suicide Prevention. Geoffrey C. Curreri is the Managing Partner of Ferrer Law Group, PLLC. He provides legal counseling on transactional and litigation matters, related to community association law and commercial litigation. Mr. Curreri was born in New York and has resided in South Florida for over 40 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business, with an emphasis in Finance, from Florida Atlantic University. In 1995, Mr. Curreri obtained his Juris Doctorate from the St. Thomas University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm in late 2014, Mr. Curreri spent approximately 18 years in the insurance defense industry, representing some of the larger insurance carriers and the insureds. He was a frequent seminar presenter providing continuing education credits for the claims representatives on several topics. Mr. Curreri has written several articles on a variety of current event topics, to include his published work regarding the treatment of undocumented workers in their native countries within the March 2013 issue of Claims Journal, Southeast Edition as well as employer accommodations to an aging workforce within the July 2013 site for the Workers’ Compensation Institute (WCI). Prior to attending law school, Mr. Curreri’s professional background includes employment with an architectural/engineering firm, where he gained extensive knowledge and experience about the design and installation of medium to large multi-million dollar construction projects, including the development of and expansion stores in Dadeland Mall and Palm Beach Gardens Mall, assisting with the transition of the Burdines-Macy’s department store merger. The experience gained in the construction field, and interaction with general and sub-contractors place him in a unique position to handle claims relating to water damage, plumbing deficiencies, cast iron piping, roofing and failure to maintain issues. Mr. Curreri has handled a multitude of insurance defense claims to trial on a wide range of issues. These issues range from chemical exposure, repetitive trauma, causality and intervening events to name a few. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Curreri also practiced in the area of the Longshore Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWC) and its progeny. Mr. Curreri has donated his time to Habitat for Humanity, as he enjoys woodworking and home remodeling. He is also an avid recreational ice hockey player at several of the South Florida ice rink leagues.
