About Michael
Michael T. Dwyer was born and raised in Somerville, Massachusetts and has been in private practice as an attorney since 1981. Prior to entering law school, Attorney Dwyer did internships in the Middlesex County Probation Department and in the Middlesex Probate and Family Service Department. In 1981, upon graduation with honors from New England Law, Attorney Dwyer was hired as a Middlesex Assistant District Attorney, serving under two different Middlesex District Attorneys. As a Senior Trial Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Dwyer was responsible for the prosecution of major crimes throughout the county, and was ultimately placed in charge of running a major division within the office.
With more that twenty-nine years of experience, he has tried cases before dozens of state and federal courts, administrative agencies and arbitration panels. As well as having represented thousands of satisfied clients over the years, Attorney Dwyer represents many small to medium sized businesses and several local Federal Credit Unions as Outside Legal Counsel. For more than ten years he has been an instructor in the Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy Program. He has testified before several committees of the Massachusetts legislature, and has testified as an expert witness for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers. Mr. Dwyer lives in Charlestown.
