About Michael
Mr. Kline practices in the area of business litigation. He represents individuals and businesses involved in real estate, intellectual property, contract, employment, corporate and complex business disputes, in both the trial and appellate contexts.
Mr. Kline specializes in the handling of litigation matters from start to finish. He has drafted numerous legal pleadings, argued those pleadings before both state and federal judges, and engaged in many successful settlement negotiations and mediations on behalf of his clients. Mr. Kline's experience also includes appellate work, such as his successful Petition to the California Supreme Court for its review of novel, complex internal legal issues of importance to his clients.
Prior to joining WCC&E, Mr. Kline gained experience in the areas of bad faith insurance, class action and general business litigation. Prior to his admission to the bar in 2001, Mr. Kline served as a federal judicial extern in Washington D.C. to Judge Stanley Sporkin, during which time he observed the Microsoft anti-trust trial and delivery of the Starr Report to Congress. An alumnus of Pepperdine University School of Law and the Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Kline served as an editor of Pepperine University's Law Journal and Alternative Dispute Resolution Journal. In 2000, Mr. Kline penned "Wading in the Sargasso Sea: The Double Jeopardy Clause, Non-Capital Sentencing Proceedings, and California's 'Three Strikes' Law Collide in Monge v. California," [27 Pep.L.Rev. 861], and capped his law school career by taking first place with his teammate in Pepperdine's annual Vincent S. Dalsimer Moot Court Competition.
