About Michael

A southern California native, Mr. Marshall attended El Camino College in Torrance before graduating from Pepperdine University in 1995. He worked in the non-profit sector for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Orange County Museum of Art before returning to Pepperdine to pursue his legal education. While attending law school, Mike served on the editorial staff of the Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judges, and as a three time elected representative to the Student Bar Association. He was also a member of the Trial Team, and received the Dean’s Award for service. He did all this while managing a beachfront inn to put himself through school. Mike feels the hotel experience provided him a unique perspective for customer service as a vital component of his legal education.

Mr. Marshall's legal experience covers a wide-range of practices, including administrative law, small business and employment law, public entity defense, estate planning, probate litigation, family law, and worker’s compensation defense. In 2006, he played a vital part to the successful trial defense of a multi-million dollar employment discrimination lawsuit. He has practiced in both state and federal court, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California.

Mike believes strongly in a customer service approach to the practice of law, and that pursuing the best interests of the client means taking the time to understand the individual or business and their particular needs. In many cases, the best result for the client is not necessarily the most expensive one.

Married since 1997 and a father since 2005, he enjoys his free time with his wife and young son.
