About Michael
Michael W. McGraw has been a practicing attorney since 2006 and joined DeCaro Doran's litigation team in January 2019.
Mike was born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland and attended Salisbury University, where he earned a B.S. in Management Information Systems and Business Administration. He later earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2005.
Following a clerkship with The Honorable Graydon S. McKee, III (Ret), Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, Maryland, he served as a Public Defender, and then, as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Prince George’s County, Maryland. He subsequently spent a number of years in private practice before returning to government service as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
While with the State’s Attorney’s Office in Anne Arundel County, where he prosecuted violent and white-collar offenses, as well as all motor vehicle and pedestrian fatalities arising from criminal conduct, Mike earned over 340 hours of training in collision reconstruction, which makes him well-qualified to defend his clients involved in motor vehicle accidents, DUI, and DWI.
Mike handles major felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic cases in Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties as well as surrounding jurisdictions. He also regularly appears before the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH). The OAH conducts hearings in 500 different case types for over 30 state agencies such as the Department of Education, Department of Health, and Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation.
Near and dear to Mike's heart are special education matters involving IEP meetings, manifestation determinations, due process hearings, and disciplinary hearings. Mike zealously advocates for parents and guardians of children with disabilities throughout Maryland.
Mike currently lives with his family in Gambrills, Maryland.
