Michelle L. Walker is dedicated to family law and domestic relations. Ms. Walker, the firm's founder, has focused her career in family law for over 19 years. Michelle L. Walker was born in Sioux City, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Political Science, with a minor in Finance, from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 1992. She graduated from the University of Denver School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate Degree in 1998. While in Law School, Michelle was involved in the law review, student law office and law clerked for a downtown Denver litigation firm.
After graduating law school, Michelle was immediately hired as an associate and eventually became a partner with a boutique law firm in Downtown Denver, specializing in civil litiation and family law. In June 2005, Michelle decided to open her own law practice in Cherry Creek. As a sole practitioner, she specializes in family law and domestic relations cases in all Denver-metro counties. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, and Family Law Section.

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
A high school classmate came to me after being represented by another attorney. She had a horrible experience because there was no communication between her and her original attorney. I was able to take over her case, keep her up to date and well informed along the way so she was able to get the case back on track and where it needed to be.

By providing good legal representation to my clients.

A lawyer that they can trust and feel comfortable with.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Very important.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
Typically, general information regarding the law and how particular counties address different matters. It is difficult to provide specific advice or information in just a phone consultation.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
Primarily, background information about the case, length of marriage, age of children, and any unique circumstances that may apply.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I try to provide the best legal services I can at an affordable cost. I am very conscientious about costs for my client and I try to make sure the cost of the case does not become another burden for a client to deal with.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Obtaining good results for a client.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
My family, my dogs, hiking, boating, and traveling.
