Jim Lindell has specialized in civil litigation during his entire career and is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. Mr. Lindell has been voted a Super Lawyer® in the areas of personal injury and workers' compensation in annual polls of Minnesota lawyers conducted by Minnesota Law & Politics and Mpls/St. Paul magazine. Jim is a native of Litchfield, Minnesota. My focus is family law, and my approach is focused on helping clients navigate the complex and emotional experience of family law issues including divorce, determining parenting time, child custody and support, dividing property, and deciding alimony. My goal is always the best possible outcome given my client’s objectives. I also seek to minimize the negative emotional and economic impact of the divorce process on children within the family system. (Studies have shown that children in high conflict divorces do not do as well later in life, as the children in low conflict divorces.) While I am a fierce advocate for my clients, I never deliberately fan the flames of conflict and anger that may hinder the process of resolving the case or that eventually have a harmful effect on the children. I guide my clients through every step of the divorce process, from filing the initial petition, preparing for and attending mediation, participating in settlement conferences, and if necessary, preparing and appearing for trial. While most of my cases settle out of court, I have the experience to manage your case through a full-blown divorce trial. My trial experience in divorce, includes the establishment of child custody and parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance/alimony, and the division of marital property. I have also litigated modification of child custody and parenting time for marital and non-marital children, modification of child support, enforcement of orders for spousal maintenance and child support, third party and grandparent custody and visitation, orders for protection, and harassment restraining orders. Prior to becoming an attorney, I owned a small business, and I draw on that experience to negotiate fair and equitable property settlements, parenting plans, and even prenuptial agreements that help protect the rights and assets of soon to become newlyweds.

Matt Schumacher is a shareholder in the firm of Randall & Schumacher, P.A. located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is admitted to practice in the State Court of Minnesota, Federal Court of Minnesota and various federal courts thru-out the country in MDL actions. Mr. Schumacher practices on the areas of personal injury and mass tort law. In the individual personal injury arena, Mr. Schumacher has represented persons injured in auto accidents, Slip and Fall cases, dog bite cases, and Trucking accident cases, among others. Mr. Schumacher also has a strong practice concentrated on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. He successfully managed his Firm’s Fen-Phen and Vioxx cases in both the MDL courts and subsequent claims review process. In addition, he is responsible for managing his Firm’s Pelvic Mesh, metal-on-metal hip cases, Pradaxa cases, Fosamax and Testosterone cases. He is currently working up his Firm’s inventory of Benicar cases. Mr. Schumacher was appointed to perform document review in the DePuy ASR Hip litigation and reviewed records related to design and marketing. In addition, Mr. Schumacher was extensively involved in pursuing cases involving Zimmer Trilogy polyethylene hip replacements. His work in the Zimmer Trilogy hip cases involved drafting discovery requests and reviewing confidential company documents related to design (patent documents), marketing, post-market surveillance, and adverse events. In addition, he took numerous corporate depositions in the Zimmer Trilogy hip cases. Mr. Schumacher worked extensively on a St. Jude heart valve case alleging that a product defect in a leaflet of the valve caused it to break off, causing the death of the plaintiff. This case involved reviewing numerous company work-process and quality documents as well as patent documents related to the device including taking a corporate witness deposition. Mr. Schumacher was also responsible for his Firm’s work-up of C.R. Bard pelvic mesh case selected as a Bellwether trial pick. His work in this case involved reviewing thousands of documents as well as taking the depositions of the implanting and explanting physicians, as well as generic liability witnesses. Mr. Schumacher is driven by his attention to detail and ability to develop themes in a case. Mr. Schumacher has over twenty years of experience in mass tort litigation and is a tenacious advocate for his clients.

Ryan Peterson is a former debt collection attorney turned consumer rights expert and advocate. After graduating from William Mitchell law school in 2008, Ryan opened his own criminal defense firm. In 2010 Ryan joined a Minneapolis-based debt collection firm. There, he quickly learned the nuances of rights and regulations regarding consumers. As time went on, Ryan developed a deep desire to work for consumers - to protect individuals who are wrongly treated, often knowingly, by big business and banking institutions. As Ryan frequently says, he’s grateful to practice law in a way that aligns with his personal beliefs. He values his relationship with clients and strives to partner with each individual to ensure a fair outcome. ​ Like all native Minnesotan, Ryan loves cabin time Up North. He is also a self-described “avid indoorsman” who enjoys cooking, reading, bar trivia, and board games. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and daughter.

Daniel practices exclusively in Social Security disability matters. He has represented thousands of clients over the past decade in Social Security disability claims. Daniel has represented individuals at all stages of the process from initial applications to the Appeals Council. His experience includes representing over two thousand claimants before Administrative Law Judges in 25 states across the country. Daniel received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University Bloomington and moved to Minnesota to attend Hamline University School of Law. During law school, Daniel represented hundreds of clients as a Certified Student Attorney. This experience allowed him to gain communication and advocacy skills at an early stage of his legal career. In 2021, Daniel co-founded MLG Disability with the goal of continuing to provide legal representation to those most in need of help, individuals struggling with disabilities. In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two daughters. He is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.
