Ms. Savidge graduated with a Bachelor's of Business Administration from the University of Iowa and received her J.D. with Honors from George Washington Law School in 1996. Shortly after she was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 1996, she began working as an assistant district attorney. She is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers Disability Advocacy Section and Workers' Compensation Section. She is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives.

Ms. Savidge worked for Legal Aid of North Carolina in Wilmington, North Carolina for 7 years, where she helped underprivileged clients in a variety of legal areas, but primarily in Social Security disability claims. After handling all aspects of disability matters, from initial applications to appeals to federal district court in the Eastern District of North Carolina, she was named the Disability and Benefits Task Force Co-Chair. In this capacity, she was responsible for organizing training sessions for newer Legal Aid attorneys across the state and providing assistance to them as they mastered this complex practice area to ensure that clients had excellent representation.
