Ray Goodwin has been practicing law since 1985. For the past 25 years his practice has emphasized estate, corporate, real estate and business matters. Mr. Goodwin has lived in Colorado since 1982. Mr. Goodwin attended the University of Utah and received two B.S. degrees in Accounting and Finance. In 1982, Mr. Goodwin received a J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. While in law school, he was a teaching assistant for legal research and writing. Concurrently he was a Lecturer teaching Accounting at San Diego State University. In 1982, Mr. Goodwin received his license as a Certified Public Accountant, and he worked at Ernst & Whinney (nka Ernst & Young). In 1985, Mr. Goodwin worked for Manulife in its Advanced Underwriting division. In 1988 Mr. Goodwin went into private practice. Mr. Goodwin is admitted to practice before the Colorado Supreme Court; United States District Court and the United States Tax Court. From 1986 through 1994 Mr. Goodwin authored and updated tax planning guides for Tax Planning for Closely Held Businesses. Those guides were published by the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and used in their national continuing education programs, where Mr. Goodwin lectured throughout the country. Currently Mr. Goodwin is primarily involved in office practice, but his earlier years were spent in the courtroom. Mr. Goodwin’s current practice involves the representation of owners, buyers, sellers, developers and lenders involved in real estate and the representation of business and corporate clients invoiced in both real estate and other businesses. For estate planning clients, Mr. Goodwin has drafted many wills, trusts and organizational plans for extensive business holdings (mostly in real estate) and probate work for decedents and their beneficiaries. In the community Mr. Goodwin has served on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Credit Union since 2007 and is currently the Vice-Chairman of the board. Mr. Goodwin is married and has three children and that is where his main interest is in watching them grow and serve.

John F. Reha has practiced litigation and business law since 1980. He has tried many cases to conclusion, has represented numerous clients in trade secrecy, non-compete and personal injury matters. He has also handled many transactional projects, including the sale and purchase of businesses. John has been handling complex business litigation matters for more than 40 years. Since joining the firm in 2011, David has specialized in handling many of the firm’s business litigation matters including those dealing with complex contracts, non-competes, trade secrets, and construction defects. Additionally, with his strong appellate background, David has been the primary attorney on most of the firm’s appellate cases, including some of the largest non-compete cases in Colorado history. With an extremely thorough, analytical, and strategic approach and the determination to go the extra mile for each of his clients, David has established a reputation as skilled litigator and advocate. Originally from Michigan, David has been a lifelong fan and supporter of the University of Michigan. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in 2005 and went on to study law at Michigan State University. While attending law school, David was selected to the nationally renowned Appellate Moot Court Program where he enjoyed great success. David and his teammates won the 2008 John Marshall International Moot Court Competition in Information Technology and Privacy Law and took second place in the 2008 New York Law School Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Competition. After graduating from law school, David moved to Colorado and began an internship clerking for the Honorable Gerald Rafferty and Honorable Valeria Spencer of the Arapahoe County District Court until he joined the firm. Outside of law, David is passionate about traveling around the world and particularly loves cruising with his wife and kids. He also loves being involved in all of his son’s and daughter’s activities including soccer, dance, baseball, scouting and camping.
