About Natalie
Natalie Popovic joined The Lewis Law Firm in September 2005. Prior to joining the firm, Natalie spent the summer of 2003 working at the Domestic Violence Intake Center in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, where she interviewed victims of domestic violence, prepared protective order petitions for review by the court, contacted witnesses, and assisted with trial preparation.
Natalie received her J. D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2005. As a member of the school's Delinquency Clinic, she assisted in the preparation of defense strategies for juvenile clients and the transition of one client from foster care to a permanent home. Under the leadership of Dr. Arnold L. Stolberg of Virginia Commonwealth University, Natalie assisted in teaching the participants of a court ordered Co-Parenting Workshop about the basics of the legal system in Virginia, including the process by which the court arrives at a custody decision in disputed cases. She also served on the law school's Career Services Advisory Board and as an Admissions Representative.
Natalie received her B.A. from Duke University in 2002, majoring in Slavic Languages and Literature. To improve her language skills, Natalie attended a nine week language emersion program at the Middlebury College Russian Language School. While at Duke, Natalie was a student co-chair and tutor with Partnership for Literacy, a program which pairs students with Duke employees seeking to improve their literacy skills and ultimately earn their high school equivalency degree. Natalie was also the instructor of the house course Literacy, Teaching, Culture and Policy.
Natalie is admitted to practice in Virginia.
