About Nathaniel
Nathaniel "Nate" Tarlow is committed to the principle of providing effective, high quality representation while maintaining a strong focus on good customer service and the needs of his client. Mr. Tarlow's practice areas include criminal law, juvenile law, family law, CPS matters, and personal injury. Mr. Tarlow believes in working aggressively to achieve positive results, while not losing sight of the fact that each client is an individual person with specific facts and circumstances that are relevant only to his/her legal needs. Mr. Tarlow understands that each case he handles is very often the most important event occurring in that particular client's life, and treats both the legal side, and the human side of his client's needs accordingly.
Nathaniel Tarlow has lived in Texas since early childhood. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, with a double major in History and in Latin American Studies. During his university years, Mr. Tarlow worked for the Texas Rural Development Council and honed his skills as a writer and communicator. Mr.Tarlow also gained fluency in the Spanish language. Upon graduation, Mr. Tarlow worked in Las Vegas, Nevada in the marketing department of the Mirage Hotel and Casino, and also as a bi-lingual tour guide with the United States Federal Government at the Hoover Dam. It was in the course of this employment that Mr. Tarlow learned the value and importance of having good people skills and the ability to interact productively with people from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Mr. Tarlow graduated from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas in 2004. During law school, Mr. Tarlow clerked under Justice Linda R. Yanez of the Thirteenth District Court of Appeals and also worked for the law firm of Schneider and McKinney, PC. Mr. Tarlow was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award twice during law school, and was a leading advocate for his team in their first place finish in the Spurgeon Bell Memorial Mock Trial tournament. After passing the bar exam, Mr. Tarlow traveled alone in Asia and Africa for over a year sightseeing and doing volunteer work, before coming back to Houston and joining the Laird Valdez law firm. Nathaniel Tarlow looks forward to working with you to ensure you receive representation that is as satisfactory as it is affordable.
