Chip graduated from Metairie Park Country Day School in 1987, having served as its class President for all four years of high school and attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas on an academic scholarship. He returned home after two years to finish his undergraduate degree at LSU, majoring in history and minoring in French. Chip is the proud father of two daughters, one of whom that plans to be the third generation Cossรฉ lawyer. Chip is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Louisiana Association for Justice. He is admitted to practice in every state court in Louisiana, in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and in the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.
