I am passionate about helping people formulate plans to reach their goals. Since 1999, I have been involved in that process with hundreds of clients as a professional in the financial services industry. In 2011, I enrolled at Arizona Summit Law School. It wasn’t always easy balancing family and school while maintaining a growing financial services company. But with the help of my wife and others, along with some divine intervention, I graduated with honors (summa cum laude) in 2014. The rest is history. Now I spend my time helping individuals and families create and maintain solid estate plans – truly an important work! On a more personal note: Before becoming an attorney, I grew up in Scottsdale, went to Horizon High School, and then joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves. Following my active duty training, I went on a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and later graduated from Arizona State University – go Sun Devils! Along the way I moved to Mesa where I met my sweetheart – Jennifer. We were married in 1999 and have since been blessed with 6 children (4 boys & 2 girls)! Elliot Briggs is a former prosecutor who knows the inside of the courtroom well. Mr. Briggs tried many cases as a prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and in North Carolina for the Wilson District Attorney’s Office. Since his time at the County Prosecutor’s office, Mr. Briggs has dedicated his law practice to criminal defense, fighting for those accused of crimes. He has handled Thousands of criminal cases, from misdemeanor DUIs to serious felonies up to murder. Mr. Briggs earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Southern Virginia University. Elliot was a member of the school’s legal forum and a member of the basketball team. He attended North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. Brad represents primarily small businesses, and so he practices primarily in the areas of law that small businesses need. As a practical matter, Brad helps companies form their businesses, deal with employees, draft and review contracts, and file or defend lawsuits when needed. Matt Maerowitz grew up in Arizona and went to high school at Brophy. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from Boston College and later graduated from law school at the University of Arizona. Matt Maerowitz is an experienced trial attorney with a practice focused on DUI, criminal defense, and personal injury cases. Matt has successfully represented clients in numerous bench and jury trials over the past eight years. Before co-founding The Maerowitz Law Firm, LLC, Matt worked for a Scottsdale law firm where he drafted pleadings and criminal defense motions, primarily in DUI cases. Matt also worked for the Pima County Attorney’s Office as a student-prosecutor during law school. Matt’s experience with both sides of criminal law cases has helped him anticipate arguments from the prosecution in order to prepare the best defense for his clients. During law school, Matt Maerowitz was recognized for several accomplishments. He was recognized for his excellent oral advocacy skills as a member of the University of Arizona’s ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition Team. Attorney Kevin Jensen was born and raised in Evanston, Wyoming, on a ranch where he learned the value of hard work. After graduating high school, Kevin left Wyoming to serve a two-year proselyting and service mission for his church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon his return from his mission, he attended Brigham Young University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Following Kevin’s graduation from BYU, he attended Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1998-2001. There he participated in various school activities, including the Marquette University Law School Moot Court. After graduating from law school, Kevin moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he practiced law in the area of insurance defense litigation including insurance coverage, medical malpractice and liability litigation. In 2003, Kevin moved to Arizona to continue his work in insurance defense litigation. In 2006, Mr. Jensen founded Jensen Family Law and since that time, he has helped hundreds of individuals navigate the legal and emotional complexities family law issues create. With over 20 years of legal experience, Kevin has the sincerity, experience and knowledge needed to be a true ally for his clients. Attorney Debora Levine is an Arizona native. Growing up, she was active in Girl Scouts and studied Spanish and French. She took 3rd in the state in her French examination in high school. She attended ASU for undergraduate school. After graduating from ASU, Debora was a GED instructor for teen moms at Rio Salado. After her work at Rio Salado, she began working for a social services agency, Child and Family Resources. Deborah was a life skills educator for teen moms. She then went back to school for her post-baccalaureate in education to become a public-school educator. Debora taught 2nd grade and then went on to teach 7th-grade language arts for 6 years. During that time, she decided to go to law school and found an opportunity to do law school part-time with evening classes at Phoenix Law School. She graduated in 2011 from Phoenix School of Law. Debora worked as a family law attorney for 6 years with her mentor who had 40 years of experience in family law. She had her own law firm and later worked for Schill Law Group. After Law School, Debora decided to go back to school again to receive her master’s in forensic psychology from Walden University to enhance her law career. Debora was married for 22 years and then divorced. Her experiences make her a compassionate and understanding ally for her clients because she empathizes and relates to what they are going through. Debora has a wealth of experience in all different kinds of family law cases, including a case involving embryos that resulted in creating a new Arizona statute for how the disposition of embryos is handled in Arizona. In her free time, Debora enjoys tabletop, role-playing games, travel, and spending time with family and friends. Her daughter lives in Arizona and her son lives in Norway with his wife and grandson. Debora also enjoys pedicures and lunch with friends, movies (especially horror films), and crime documentaries. She is an animal lover and has 2 dogs and 3 cats.
