About Olin
Olin Lewin manages the firm's Corporate and Business Department. He has extensive experience in corporate law, particularly in the areas of general business, real estate, contracts, corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and tax issues.
Mr. Lewin has practiced law since 2004 and has been with the firm for over eight years. As the head of the Corporate and Business Department, Mr. Lewin represents corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, joint ventures and sole proprietorships in a variety of matters, including structuring tax-free reorganizations and spin-offs. He frequently represents buyers and sellers in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures of business, real estate and capital assets.
Additionally, Mr. Lewin advises shareholders, directors and officers regarding corporate compliance; bank, venture capital and private financings; private security offerings; stock options and stock purchase plans; shareholder and buy-sell agreements; and succession planning, to name just a few.
As a highly experienced and comprehensive business attorney, Mr. Lewin advises clients regarding the formation and operation of nonprofit and business organizations; and he regularly counsels existing and emerging companies on both day-to-day and developing legal issues that his clients face when managing and operating their businesses.
Mr. Lewin earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Wesleyan University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Mr. Lewin is a member of the State Bar of California and an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association.
In his free time, Mr. Lewin and his wife enjoy getting outdoors with their three sons.
