He earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After law school, Mr. Porter moved to Jacksonville, where he accepted a position as Assistant State Attorney, prosecuting cases in Duval, Clay, and Nassau counties. As a prosecuting trial lawyer, he handled a wide range of cases, from misdemeanor DUI cases to the felony crime of murder.
