OYVIND WISTROM is a shareholder with the law firm of Lindner & Marsack, S.C.

Mr. Wistrom's practice is focused primarily on the litigation of employment matters, discrimination and retaliation complaints, equal employment matters and the development and oversight of personnel policies and procedures. Mr. Wistrom has successfully defended both private and public-sector employers in a variety of employment related matters involving discrimination, harassment, unlawful discharge, violations of non-comepte agreements, wage and hour matters, and retaliation in both state and federal courts, as well as before various administrative agencies.  Mr. Wistrom also has significant experience defending worker's compensation claims on behalf of the insurance industry and large self-insured employers, both at the hearing tribunal level, as well as at the Labor and Industry Review Commission and appellate court levels. Mr. Wistrom also devotes a significant portion of his practice to assisting and counseling clients in various employment matters, including discharge and discipline issues, non-compete and other employment contract matters, wage and hour disputes, family and medical leave issues, as well as individual rights and responsibilities in the workplace. 

Mr. Wistrom was named a 2009 Wisconsin Super Lawyer, published by Law & Politics and Milwaukee Magazine, and had prevously been designated a "Rising Star" in 2006, 2007 and 2008 by Wisconsin Super Lawyers, a designation reserved for the top 2.5% of all attorneys in Wisconsin under age 40.  Mr. Wistrom is also a fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honerary society.

Mr. Wistrom received his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Behavioral Science & Law from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and his law degree from Marquette University, cum laude, in 1995.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, including its Labor and Employment Law Section and the Wisconsin Bar Association.  Mr. Wistrom also serves on the Board of Directors for Volunteers of America - Wisconsin.
