About P.
P. BRANDON PERKINS concentrates his practice in consumer and commercial litigation. Born in Naples, Brandon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law.
While at the University of Miami School of Law, Brandon received the "book award" in Legal Research and Writing II, Comparative Criminal Law, and Florida Evidence Practice; he was named to the Dean's List every semester. Brandon served as an Academic Achievement Program Dean's Fellow, was a member of the University of Miami Business Law Review Editorial Board, and as a Vice-President of the Moot Court Board. Brandon represented the School of Law in the George Washington University National Security Law Competition in Washington D.C., and in the NACDL Trial Advocacy competition in Santa Fe, N.M. Brandon graduated ranked 7th out of 328 students, earning him the Order of the Coif distinction.
After graduating from law school, Brandon served as law clerk to Florida Supreme Court Justice Raul Cantero. Brandon continued to serve the people of Florida as an assistant public defender in Hillsborough County, Florida. While at the Public Defender's office, Brandon had the opportunity to Petition both the Circuit and District Courts to issue Writs of Habeas Corpus on behalf of several indigent defendants. Following his tenure at the Public Defender's Office, Brandon lived in New York City, where he focused primarily in the area of pharmaceutical litigation while at the prestigious firm of Covington & Burling.
Since his return to Florida, Brandon has concentrated his efforts in the areas of consumer and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on general commercial and criminal litigation, including cases arising from TILA, HOEPA, and the Florida Fair Lending law. In addition to his private practice, Brandon has accepted appointments as a Guardian Ad Litem and Attorney ad Litem for foster children in the 20th Judicial Circuit. Brandon and his family live in Fort Myers, Florida.
