About Paige

Paige Macdonald-Matthes concentrates her practice in commercial, business and real estate litigation.  She has litigated a wide range of commercial contract and liability issues including construction litigation, enforcement of non-compete clauses, lease disputes, as well as other various complex litigation matters in state courts and in federal district and bankruptcy courts.  Ms. Macdonald-Matthes has also litigated a variety of matters before state administrative agencies including the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board, the State Real Estate Commission and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.  As part of her litigation practice, Ms. Macdonald-Matthes also represents clients in complex domestic law matters.  Ms. Macdonald-Matthes is BV Peer Review Rated.

Ms. Macdonald-Matthes was recently named one of Pennsylvania's 50 Best Women In Business by The Business Journals of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.  She has also been recognized as one of Central Pennsylvania's Forty Under Forty by the Central Penn Business Journal.

Active in the legal community, Ms. Macdonald-Matthes serves as Co-Chair of the Program Presentation Subcommittee of the Trial Evidence Section of the American Bar Association, and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.  She is also a member of the Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Bar Associations.

In addition to being active in the legal community, Ms. Macdonald-Matthes is also active in the Central Pennsylvania community, serving as a member of the Leadership Council for the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the MS Society, and as an Alumni Relations Representative for Lafayette College.  She previously served as a member of the Board of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and is a past member of Pinnacle Health's Womancare Advisory Board.

Ms. Macdonald-Matthes is a former adjunct faculty member at the Harrisburg Area Community College where she taught courses in civil litigation and family law.  She continues to regularly lecture on a variety of litigation issues for both Lorman Educational Services and for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

Ms. Macdonald-Matthes graduated with honors from Lafayette College in 1989.  She earned her Juris Doctorate in 1992 from Widener University School of Law, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and was admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court that same year.  Subsequently, Ms. Macdonald-Matthes was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania, Eastern District of Pennsylvania and Western District of Pennsylvania; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court.
