She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia College and State University in 2015. In 2018, Heather graduated from Mercer Law School where she was the Secretary for the Animal Legal Defense Club as well as an active member of the Association of Women Law Students. In 2019, Heather moved to Florida and joined Gordon and Partners. Heather was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2021. Prior to being admitted to the Florida Bar, Heather served as a paralegal for the Veterans’ Disability Department. Through this experience, Heather gained extensive knowledge about the working of claims at the agency, Board of Veterans’ Appeals, and U.S. Court of Veterans’ Appeals levels. Coming from a family of Veterans, Heather understands the importance of getting justice for those whom have laid their lives on the line for others to have freedom. Due to this, Heather is a dedicated and passionate advocate for her clients.

John M. Jorgensen is a fourth generation Floridian, who earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1982 from the University of Florida. Mr. Jorgensen joined Scott, Harris in 1982, and became a shareholder in 1992. He is currently the President and managing shareholder of the firm. He practices in the areas of civil litigation and trials, with emphasis on real property and business disputes, construction and land use litigation, landlord-tenant both commercial and residential, foreclosures, contract disputes, and appellate practice. He has over 40 years of civil litigation and trial experience, all of them with Scott/Harris. Mr. Jorgensen is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and represents clients in both state and federal courts throughout south Florida. He has done well over 100 civil trials in his career. Mr. Jorgensen has served as President of the North County Section of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and was also a member of the Association’s Board of Directors. He also served as chair of the Palm Beach County Land Use Advisory Board. He has received the highest AV rating by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.

Mr. Jamieson is respected among child support lawyers domestic violence attorneys and divorce attorneys in West Palm Beach. While Mr. Jamieson’s practice is based in West Palm Beach, Florida, he is committed to proactive, assertive representation for each of his clients, regardless of their geographic location. Mr. Jamieson graduated from Dartmouth College in 1975, magna cum laude, and earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Maine School of Law in 1978. While in law school, he was very active in advocacy issues, served as the co-chairman of the Moot Court Board and was successful in arguing legal issues in intramural and international moot court contests. He was admitted to practice law in Maine in 1978 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1990. In cases of divorce, the best interests of all children involved are priority.
